Christmas 2010

This was the first Christmas as a family. Santa brought Hunter an exercersaucer (sp?).  He loves it!!  We had Christmas morning here at our house. After we opened presents, we headed to my parents house.  There we opened presents then had brunch. After leaving my parents, we headed to Clint's moms house in Indiana.  Hunter got so many presents at both places.  My parents got him a Johnny Jump up, and Becki got him a radio flyer wagon. I put him in the Johnny jump up last night and he just laughed...didn't really know what to do, but with time I'm sure he will learn.  I'm looking forward to putting the wagon together when the weather gets warmer and taking walks with Hunter.

As I look back on 2010, so many things happened.  I wouldn't trade any of the events for the world. I married my best friend.  We have the greatest little guy in the world. Looking forward to what 2011 has in store for us.

One year ago tonight....

A year ago tonight, my best friend and soul mate asked me to become his wife. I couldn't have imagined a better man to be my husband and father of my children.  He is such a wonderful husband.  I'm so lucky to have found him. Here's how the proposal happened....

For Christmas all Rachel said she wanted was a brown north face jacket and a ring.  Clint kept telling Rachel "I hope you aren't expecting a ring, because it's not going to happen".  Rachel just gave up and kept telling herself it would happen when it was time.
On December 22, 2009, Nannie, Clint and Rachel exchanged gifts.  Nannie went first, opened her stocking and gifts.  Next, it was Rachel's turn.  She started opening her stocking.  She pulled out candy, UK tattoos for the bowl game, then pulled out a white box.  Rachel opened it and there laid Clint's high school championship state ring.  Clint said "you said you wanted a ring". Rachel said "HAHA".  Clint said "There is something else in there". Rachel pulled out a little blue box.  Inside was the engagement ring and a little read note that read "Will you marry me?"  Rachel was so shocked, took her a minute to say "YES"!!  The ring is perfect!!

Everyone knew for 3 weeks!!  Clint had gone and talked to Rachel's dad one Tuesday when she was in class. (taken from the website http://www.theknot.com/, where I had set up a wedding webpage)

Told you so....

I told you that I probably won't blog a lot. Thanksgiving has come and gone and now we are approaching our first Christmas as a family and Hunter's first Christmas. I'm so excited.  "Santa" will be bringing Hunter the best gift I think a 5 month old can have.  I'll post pictures of it after Hunter gets it.

It's hard to believe that Hunter is 5 months old already. I need time to stop.  I cherish every night after I feed him a bottle and falls asleep on my chest.  I then have to get out of my warm bed to put him in his crib. But I love it when he falls asleep on my chest.  He does that for naps too...but usually for naps I just let him sleep on me.

Thanksgiving this year was extra special. Hunters first Thanksgiving and then the celebration of having Peyton Faith, Clint's cousin's little girl here.  She was adopted 3 months ago. She is so special. We had a baby shower on Saturday for her. She recieved so many cute clothes and other goodies.  Next Thanksgiving, if we can get all of the Stallard/Followell cousins together, there will be 7 kiddos under the age of 7.  I'll list them and their ages next Thanksgiving....

Sarah Martin(Clint's sister)- Charlie (6) and Myree (3)
Tyler Wilkerson (Clint's cousin)-Cameron (1)
Clint and I- Hunter (1)
Katie Davis (Clint's cousin)- Peyton (1)
Justus Stallard (Clint's cousin) Issac (9 months) Baby Issac will be here middle of February
Will Stallard (Clint's cousin) Lane (8 months) Baby Lane will be here middle of March

That is a lot of babies....all boys except Myree and Peyton!!
