Daddy's boy

Hunter has become more and more of a daddy's boy. I could be holding him and he will reach for Clint. Clint will give him to me and he will start crying and reaching for Clint. He gets so excited when Clint gets home from work, or leaves the room and comes back. But there is one thing that I still do, I get to put the precious boy to sleep every night! For some reason he fights and squirms with Clint while going to sleep. With me he just lays his head on my shoulder and goes to sleep! Here's a picture of them together looking at the fish aquarium at Bass Pro Shops....

Almost 9 months

Where is the PAUSE button on life?!  I need it and if any where knows where to find please let me know!!

Sitting up with a book, a polo, and shoes...time please STOP!!

Decided to ship him off! JK!

Swinging at the park...he loves it!

8 month old picture with his tongue out...of course!
This is how Clint plans on taking Hunter turkey hunting!
It's hard to belive that Hunter will be 9 months old in less than 2 weeks. I still want that cuddling, snuggling little boy that I had 9 months ago. But I guess he has to grow up sometime. I can't even remember what I blogged about last time. But he is eating more baby foods. He likes everything but green beans. I've tried mixing with everything and even plain. I give him a spoonful, he gets the taste in his mouth, and spits them right back out. He is still drinking about 4 oz after every feeding. He also love Gerber Puffs. "Santa Clause" left sweet potatoe puffs in his stocking. He just finished the whole can.  He is able to pinch them between his finger and thumb and stuff them into his mouth. It's actually pretty cute of him doing it.  A couple weeks ago, I took Hunter to the park to swing. He absolutely loved it!!  I must say...he loves being outside. Which Clint loves, since Clint believes he is taking Hunter turkey hunting in a couple weeks. He has practiced how he can sit with Hunter and shoot a turkey.

A week ago, Hunter was diagnosed with RSV. As a first time mom, I freaked out a little bit. The doctor said his case wasn't bad, but to continue to watch him and if the wheezing or shortness of breath out bad, so bring him back in. He has gotten better, but at times he wheezes more than usual.  Hunter and I spent many nights on the couch, or just walking around the house. He wouldn't let me lay down, or sit down with him. As soon as I thought he was sound asleep on my shoulder, I would go to sit down and he would wake up. Finally got him to sleep in his crib the past two nights. I had been putting him on his back, but I tried doing the stomach again, and he sleeps better.

A few weekends ago, my mother in law came down to keep Hunter overnight. The first time I was leaving my baby overnight. I was nervous, but excited to get to spend some time with Clint. We had gone to Lexington for the night. We stayed at the Hilton by Lexington Green, ate a Tony Roma's, then went to Comedy Off Broadway to see Etta May. She was so funny. I laughed the whole time.  By the time the show was over, us old folks (Clint and I) were exhausted and went to bed at like 11. Saturday morning we went to Babies-R-Us. I could spend countless hours walking around and dreaming about so many things that I want. We got Hunter diapers, wipes and some summer clothes.  We also had to get some sleepers, because he is so long, he is out growing all his sleepers.

Clint went to the grocery a couple weeks ago and came home with front facing carseat...WHAT?! When did Hunter get big enough for one of those.  Well he isn't quite ready for it.  The law is 20 lbs AND a year.  But we went ahead and bought it.  It will last him till he is 80 lbs.  In his baby carseat his long skinny legs are basically in the back of the seat already.  He is 2 lbs shy of being able to sit in it.  We might try it out for a little bit.
